A Secretaria Municipal de Saúde – Semusb, realizou uma manhã educativa neste 17 de abril, Dia Mundial de Combate à Doença de Chagas. A ação aconteceu no Complexo Comercial de Barcarena e no Auditório da Semusb.
Servidores da Vigilância em
Saúde visitaram os pontos de vendas, distribuíram folder explicativo, conversaram com vendedores e clientes, explicando o que é a doença de chagas, os sintomas, como prevenir e como tratar. Além disso, houve palestra com batedores de açaí, orientando sobre boas práticas e higiene para a correta manipulação dos frutos.
É importante que a população sempre fique atenta para comprar o seu açaí em locais que estejam licenciados pela Vigilância Sanitária. A palestra de manipulador de alimentos para os batedores de açaí é aberta ao público, ocorre toda terça-feira, às 10h, no auditório da Semusb.
A DOENÇA DE CHAGAS – é a infecção causada pelo protozoário Trypanosoma Cruzi. Apresenta uma fase aguda que pode ser sintomática ou não, e uma fase crônica, que pode se manifestar nas formas indeterminada (assintomática), cardíaca, digestiva ou cardiodigestiva.
Na fase aguda, os principais sintomas são: febre prolongada (mais de 7 dias); dor de cabeça; fraqueza intensa; inchaço no rosto e pernas. No caso de picada do barbeiro, pode aparecer uma lesão semelhante a um furúnculo no local.
As principais formas de transmissão da doença de Chagas são: contato com fezes de barbeiros infectados; ingestão de alimentos contaminados com parasitas provenientes barbeiros infectados; transfusão de sangue ou transplante de órgãos de doadores infectados, entre outros.
Ao apresentar os sintomas, procure a UBS do seu bairro imediatamente.
