Mais um espaço bonito foi entregue pela prefeitura de Barcarena, por meio da Secretaria de Infraestrutura e Desenvolvimento Urbano – Semdur. Desta vez, o bairro contemplado foi o Pioneiro. A praça de alimentação Etelvino Daniel de Santana (Baiano) fica atrás do Terminal Rodoviário de Vila dos Cabanos.
O espaço público homenageia um homem trabalhador que ganhava o sustento da família com a venda de produtos na localidade. Esse mesmo lugar agora abriga vários vendedores num espaço digno, novo e bonito para vender suas produções alimentícias.
A praça foi entregue com a presença do prefeito Renato Ogawa, da vice Cristina Vilaça, e outras autoridades. A Iderli Azevedo, proprietária do Sorvetes Pavulagem, contou sobre os benefícios do novo lugar. “A gente ficava a margem da rua. Então não era agradável nem pra gente que trabalhava e nem para os clientes. Mas agora temos um espaço bonito, amplo e iluminado”.
A dona Maria Socorro faz venda de guaraná e coxinhas deliciosas na nova praça de alimentação. Ela adorou o espaço. “Agradeço muito a Deus por terem colocado a gente nesse lugar. Antes, passávamos muitas dificuldades. Agora tá tudo ótimo”.
